Dear Members – As you are well aware – The President’s is less than 24 hours away and summarised below are the confirmatory details of the 2010 event, which in my personal opinion is the second most important event on the Tour.
Due to careful planning perfected over the last three years and incorporating feedback from the Members it includes an overly complex concept and scoring system, (which few of you will understand, but thoroughly enjoy), it incorporates a Ryder Cup style team competition, (including an 18 hole Mutliball Scramble and an 18 hole singles competition and Stapleforth Major).
The President’s will again take place at it’s spiritual home – The Warwickshire – and after lengthy negotiations I have managed to secure an excellent value for money package £62 (inc buggies, 36 holes, bacon baps, coffee and lunch) – easily the best value day out of the tour:

7.30 am (SHARP) – Coffee and bacon rolls on arrival and the “Ryder Cup” Team Selection Process
8.36 am – 18 holes of Championship Golf on the Earls Course : “The morning 18” – The famous “Mutliball Scramble ” (Incorporating a pairs handicap differential mechanic)
1.00pm approx – Lunch
1.56pm – 18 holes of Championship Golf on the Kings Course : The combined individual WHVRPs Major and Singles event for the Ryder cup event ( Full Stapleforth )
7.00(ish) pm – Prize giving
7.30 pm England V USA at the Warwickshire (NB: Wags, other non playing WHVers, friends and neighbours are welcome to join us for the footy – Which will be shown on a big screen in the bar)
Currently confirmed are: The Pres, Prof, Bruce, Ads, Ronnie, TD, Simon, Bacon, Campo, Noz, The Aust, Curt and The Idiot (who has kindly agreed, for the benefit of the GS and the Mutliball Scramble format to only play in the afternoon Major – because to be quite honest a Mutliball Scramble with 13 would be a debacle)
We also have two 8 seater cabs booked at 10.30 after the footy, which I believe will contain: The Pres, Prof, Bruce, Ads, TD, Bacon, Noz, The Aust, Spike, Elf, Gaff, McNeill, George, Patters and potentially Hannah
