Shoddy Baguette Escalation

Despite Ron declaring it off topic, and dull – we’ve had what appears to amount to a flame war between WHV Captains past and present over the complaint posted a couple of days ago.

Worringly, the discredoration word has been bandied about in comments. The present incumbent has asked me to post the following point-by-point reply to a comment by Mr I Hall

What has this got to do with Golf?
This was done following the Chris Gregory Invitational at Carden Park – I accept I quoted the wrong event of the 2006 tour. I was quite distressed at the time of writing my complaint. I hope the board forgive my honest mistake, which was a genuine error that I do not believe alters the material facts of the case.
What has this got to do with WHVGS?
The Chris Gregory Invitational is the second WHVGS event ever recorded in the Almanac. The Almanac that enshrines what the WHVGS is. So it is bloomin’ significant, and I will ask the board to consider this lack of respect for society history when considering the matter.
You will find The ‘peddling’ was done at Carden Park, in the Hotel bar – nothing to do with a WHV golf event. At a friends stag do.
See answer above. This was the second ever officially recorded WHVGS event. The official record of the WHVGS being the Almanac. The first edition of which, containing these details for 2006, was issued and approved during your tenure as Chairman of the WHV Golf Society.
It would help if your facts were right.
As above, I believe the genuine factual error I made has no significant bearing on the issue in question, but that is for the Board to decide. When deciding the matter I would ask them to also take your general dismissal of society record into account to provide a balanced verdict.
It wasn’t at the Vale – at the actual Claret Jug event, which would never be discredorated.
Personally I do not believe any WHVGS Society event should be discredited. I accept the Claret Jug is the flagship event – but I don’t think that should allow you to belittle, for instance (by way of random example) the President’s Classic; Gibbon or Players’ Rep’s Skins.
Why are we even discussing this?
Because the fecking speaker you flogged me does not work.
The Prof’s ‘star’ is only on his shirt because he decided ‘post event’, and because he was writing an Almanac, to sanction the day as WHV golf legitimate – and awarded himself some points…and therefore the OOM
I object to your bringing in a matter not pertinent to the matter in order to enable you to pursue an unwarranted personal attack.
Quality product design can be expressed as fairly equal helpings of functionality, usability and reliability – a subjective opinion, which in my opinion, is rubbish.
Unfortunately I am only too fully aware that you hold this opinion – I have regrettably encountered the fruit bourne of this mental dysfunction.
The company whom manufactures the item has a 2 year warranty policy.  It would serve anybody right if they bought something and didn’t use it for 4 years, to find it was either faulty or some sort of cretinous user error was to blame.

I suggest this is exactly the type of argument you should submit to the hearing. Thank you for getting there. Eventually.

Finally, here’s the song that the Captain is missing out on, in a nice live version. We here at WHVgolf.com hope it soothes his pain and disappointment.
