Getting Ready for the Jug – Handicaps, Nicknames, Form Guide

Sat in a dull protocol conference in Berlin, listening to french people drone on about power consumption on border routerzzzzz.

So I’ve made this – importantly, these are your handicaps for the weekend, and some banter

2015 Welsh Trip

NameAnswers toStarting HandicapLead the OoM?Jug Form Guide
A.BrownRon, Ronno, Aaron065 points behind DonkHaven't seen him for a few years, worth a shout on good tracks
S.CooperCoops, Coopo, Bandit9Doesn't qualify for OoMBeen a long time since Dartmouth, but is allegedly playing the golf of his life
T.SmithJimenez, Tom10Doesn't qualify for OoMInjury lay off and harsh handicap might count against Jimenez at his second Jug, but is known to be a player
H.BennettHuge11Doesn't qualify for OoMReportedly playing good golf on a tough track - an unknown quantity
S.HarrisonDonk, Donko, Cap (I wish)11Will have at least 183 points on Sunday nightHasn't won it, but has only been out of the final four once
R.HallIdiot - only ever Idiot12Nope, ten points shortHa ha ha ha ha ha ha
B.HopkinBruce, Juice, Bonus, Swiss Tony13117 points behind DonkHas won three, but choked last year and is likely to suffer new dad issues
P.MilmoreMillers, Milko, Weirdo, Fecking Hurry Up Millers, What Have you come as?14the only player who could be in yellow for the Jug apart from DonkNo chance of holding it together for 36 holes
S.HardingBoyce, Magnum, Pikey Killer, Horse Boy, The Duke of Chelmsley Wood1560 points behindCould repeat, if we all fall to bits, his steady play could do it again - Telford here we come
A.AustinAust, and that's about it16No - because of his ongoing match report penalty, Aust cannot win the OoMMaybe, playing well, but three days is a lot of hitting, even in a buggy
P.KerrPaulo, PK19Doesn't qualify for OoMWho knows, Noz is in big trouble if he does
M.AllsoppBacon, Bacon Bonce, Slow Poke, Mike2063 points behindDoubtful, but using borrowed balls might help him
C.GregoryGreggors, Gregs, TD, Christopher, Princess, Gibbon20Just 32 points behind - in win a shout, if he wasn't Gregs on a weekendShould be able to on talent, but has the mind of a simpleton, and will focus on shenanigans rather than golf
W.SpittleNoz, Spittler, Wake Up 2256 points behindHas done it before on Willpower, could do it again if the weather is bad and he wants portugal enough
P.WolstenholmeWoolly2330 points behindEvery chance, playing well. Could equally fall to bits
D.BaxterPres, Doug, Doogal, Baxter2662 points behindThree time champ, gets better the more he plays - could be in line for #4
N.KelfordBig Nelly2656 points behindNever say never, but this won't be a par 3 challenge
N.MarriottLittle Nelly26118 points behind - would need to do a Noz and hope for Donk blowoutMaybe - took the matchplay in dominant style and will be wearing our champs ring
R.AshPete, Pedro, Prof2887 points behindWould be legendary, is possibly too far fetched a concept
A.HogarthAdam, Ads2987 points behindIt might happen, he has the shots and can string a score together if his head doesn't go after a couple of bad shots
A guide for the noobs, the ignorant and the interested. The 'Win it all' column indicates members who will not qualify for the OoM because they will only play one Major this year. Also I've worked out the minimum points for the tour leader (me) from the weekend, and the maximum possible gap that could be closed to see if they could wear the Yellow at the Spoonholder's team event
