In a response to the criticism of the 2010 event (and the 2009 one too), the Idiot has upped his game. We knew the venue well in advance, it is alleged to be a premium course, and this time we get a full day of golf with something called a ‘shoot out’. The WD is not sure what this will entail.

The 2011 Brissle Horn is now formally booked for 15th May. We have room for 16 (ahem) ‘golfers’. You need to arrive at 9.30 @ the course. Bacon roll and coffee on arrival. (we place lunch order at this time also)

If you require evening food – this can be catered for. It is a fabulous place to play, the par 3’s are quite simply the best you will find in golf on the same course.

Regrettably I don’t think I can make this. The somewhat liberal interpretation of T1.2.1 will make it difficult for me to get to the venue, having just returned from Mexico – unless another member is planning on travelling from the SE. Rest assured if I can’t make it I will call you before the event to provide some swing advice: the new handicap mechanism is likely to move you alongside the category 2 golfers unless you win – you are probably currently a category 2 or 3 in reality, but I believe you have the potential to make it into the 1s eventually if you put your heart and mind to it.
