I’m back from international donking, and likely to be in the wrong time zone in my head when we tee off at the Skins tomorrow, at an event that the Players Rep is promising to be the most complicated WHV affair ever (although my memory of the dart golf evening would challenge that claim).
I checked earlier on the handicaps, and the movements from the Gibbon aren’t especially obvious, so I’ll explain them;
- firstly, I am still off 12, because the cut for winning a tournament when you’re playing off a lower handicap is less than a full stroke – a proportional thing. So my cut takes me down 0.5 of a shot, but still keeps me at 12
- Bruce goes up a stroke, as his winners penalty for the 2014 Gibbon has expired
- Adam comes down a stroke to 32 – mainly for consistent scoring
- Woolly drifts to 27, because he doesn’t get many points in events
- Noz is the same, going to 21 because scoring 20 odd points means your handicap isn’t right
- The TD does the same, mainly because is golf is hopeless – but he isn’t playing tomorrow because of A-Fest
