In what might have been an example of perfect serendipity, the V of the WHV were today relegated on the day of a WHV event, and an event declared as a memorial event no less.
Whilst the egomaniacal former TD might insist that the event replacing the Gibbon Invitational should be called the TD Memorial, I have to believe that the 2017 Calendar should mark this event as the Villa Memorial event. And should probably be titled as such until Aston Villa return to the top flight of English football – which might be quite a long time.
Anyway, here are just a few of the Villa fans in the WHVGS commiserating with each other moments after their team were confirmed as being down.
