So, despite winning the TD Memorial, Bandit Supreme PK is still off 24. There are a couple of other changes – after a shambles of a round in Chepstow, Woolly creeps up to 23. And, after one round off 12, I am back up to 13 as the penalty for winning the 2015 Gibbon has expired.
Of much more interest to everyone who knows him, and remembers the handicap updates at Porthmadog, let’s have a #helpingrob moment.
Rob has expressed continual amazement that his handicap hasn’t gone up to reflect how abject his game has become – so I did a little Donking.
The current amazing handicapping system is based on your best six rounds from the last twenty – simple.
Rob’s last 20 rounds show that the played to the following handicaps
16, 2o, 21, 32, 14, 17, 19, 12, 15, 17, 26, 19, 20, 29, 37, 25, 25, 20, 26, 28
The rounds in bold are the ones we need to focus on – and that 16 will drop off as soon as we get another card from Rob, but it will only be replaced by one of those 19’s – taking the average up to 15.6, so we should see another shot added #helpingrob
Incidentally, that 16 comes from the Sunday Jug round in 2010. The 12 and 15 are from the 2012 Jug where Rob was in the final four – he clearly isn’t playing enough golf for his handicap to go up to where he might ever be competitive again.
Best of Luck at the Brissle Robert
