As you all know it’s the inaugural Spoon Holder’s Salver on Saturday. This new, but soon to be essential addition to the WHV calendar is to be played on the Derby Course at The Belfry. We have 3 tee times (0900, 0910 & 0920) booked. The day will include all of the following at a remarkable £25 per person Inc vat:
- Tea, coffee and bacon rolls on arrival served in Sam’s bar (not a private area)
- Driving range token
- Course planner
- 18 holes of golf on the Derby course
- Managed nearest the pin and longest drive on course competitions

The more observant among you will notice that Aust’s name is not included. Apparently, he’s on holiday or something and can’t play. As I’m a stingy git and don’t want to lose £25 having already had to pay up the full amount, if any of the members not currently playing wish to get themselves sucked in please get back to me ASAP. Failing that, if anyone can think of anyone else to get sucked in, please get back to me. You will also see that a number of you are still to pay me. Please bring your £25 with you on Saturday and please don’t forget your £10 entrance fee for the TD.
The course have asked us to get there for 0800 in order to have our bacon sarnies etc. Apologies for the early start, especially if you are driving a long way.
I don’t think many of us will have played the Derby course before, so it should be a level playing field. It’s basically a superb venue which is full of Ryder Cup history, so it will be a great end to the WHV 2011 Tour. Cheers all and see you on Saturday.
